you probably think i am bonkers???

Post by charlieboy »

hi everyone
does any one have any idea of the cost in monetary terms to fully equip a full panzer division,
how much for instance was the cost for lets say a mg 42, a tiger tank, uniforms, boots etc.
it must have cost millions of reichmarks, plus the costs of the ammunitions. i dont expect many answers
but any would be a bonus, plus any websites that could be viewed with any information on this subject.
best wishes

hi everyone
tom thanks for the information for christian's site ''www.panzerworld'' its a very informative site,
with a comprehensive list of the cost of weapons etc,
the other interesting thing on the site was the pay scales for various military personnel from single men,
to married men with up to 10 children ''i wouldn't have thought they would have had that much leave in those days to produce that amount of kids amazing''
best wishes
micky

p.s. tom can you pm me on another matter please if you have time.
