My grandfather in-law

Post by jepjo »

My wife's grandfather just passed away 2 weeks ago and he was a luftwaffe veteran who survived the entire war. He was a radioman and gunner on Junkers 88's and later 188's. My question is, does anyone know how I could possibly find out the units in which he was assigned and their operations in which they took part. I would greatly appreciate any help from anyone on the subject

Hello jepjo,

My advice to you would be to fill out a tracing request at the Deutsche Dienststelle (WASt) in Berlin.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
