Faustpatrone

Does anyone know of specific references covering the introduction of the Faustpatrone? The Advanced Squad Leader system includes this weapon, but so far there have been no scenarios which utliize it. I have been unable to find any specifics about its combat trials or initial use in combat (dates/battles/units) by searching on the internet. Has the topic ever been addressed in a book?
