not only the 61. ID fought in the West- and Ostsack . Even the 227. ID, the so called Wenglergrenadiere fought in the heavy foughts in March/April 1944. Due to a Diary the whole Grenadierregiment 412 had only 60 men after the fights march 1944!!!!! Strachwitz start with the West Sack 26. March 44. ...
