Russian and Japanese losses, summer 1945?

Post by Vince »

Does anyone have accurate casualty figures in men and material during the Russian Manchurian offensive. We all know that the ill-prepared Japanese were rolled back into the ocean with relative ease. Interestingly I have never seen anything on russian losses in August of '45. Surely there must have been some!

Also, does anyone know of net resources containing first hand accounts of this campaign?

Did Germany supply any expertise or equipment on how to best defend against the Russians?
