Commissar D ~ the EviL - Immortalized in Song?

Greetings Troops!
Recently, your intrepid reporter, Samuel H.A.Dow, while researching vodka dealerships……..excuse me …….VOLVO dealerships…, here in Moscow, unearthed this rare piece of WW II soviet sheet music…..titled:
“Ode to a Guards Tank Commander”!
The music looks suspiciously like that of “Lilli Marlene”!
Sing along, if you know the tune!
Just beside the Reich-stag
By the barrack gate
Commissar remember -
The way you used to wait
T'was there you whispered tenderly,
That you loved me,
You'd always be,
The lee-der of my tank corps
My own David – o – vich!
Time would come for roll call,
We soviets must part,
Darling I'd caress you
And pray your tank would start
And there b'neath that far-off lantern light,
I'd hold you tight,
We'd kiss good night,
The lee-der of my tank corps
My own David – o – vich!
Orders came for Stalin,
Somewhere over there
You confined to barracks
Was more than I could bear
I knew that you'd be waiting, yep - for real
Sti-le-toe heels -
Know how that feels!
The lee-der of my tank corps
My own David – o – vich!
Resting in your panzer,
Far behind the lines
Even though' we're parted,
Your lips are close to mine
You wait where that lantern, by the bar,
“D” – Comm-i-ssar
He won’t go far
The lee-der of my tank corps
My own David – o – vich!
The rest of the copy is too smudged with rouge and lipstick to be readable!
I wonder if this song was written by a poor, young, impressionable, communist cutie, for our own beloved “Commissar D ~ the EviL”, of Forum Hero fame?
Reporting from Moscow……hiccup!.....
