Hello Guys,
some monthes ago I was able to read on the net (I presume in Feldgrau) a deep study about the Soviet railway system during W.W. II, the losses and the fundamental nature of Lende-Lease helps in this field. The morale was that without anglo-saxon tracks, locomotives and wagons the war was over for USSR.
As I was unable to find it again (my shame) may someone help me?
Thank You EC

Re: Soviet Railway system 1941-1945
are you sure it was about the Soviet system, not the Nazi one in the conquered area of the USSR?
The only meaningful site I found is http://rrh.agava.ru/history.htm, where you can find also poems hovering around the railroad theme. Chapter 20, "Zheleznye dorogi v voennoe vremya" is specifically on the war railroad system and contains even some stats info, though I would not call it an in-depth analysis.

The first site looks at the ger railway in rus as well and the second details LL to rus compared to thier own production.
