Heer Use of SS Pattern Camouflage

In looking at several books I have noticed Heer personnel occasionally wearing SS pattern camouflage.

Clearest example is in Davis' book, German Army Uniforms, where he shows two Panzer officers. One wearing SS pattern camo in a non-standard tunic.

So how common was it? My gut tells me not common at all for Heer to wear/use SS pattern camo?

No it isn't that common. These photos are few and far between. The largest use of W-SS camo was by HG and that was a one time issue.
