12. SS
Magnificent job Kocjo!
Truly an excellent collection of photographs you have posted on these pages. Will check this thread regularly, should you have time to post any more. Thanx
One thing relating to this (Wiking) thread:
http://www.feldgrau.net/images/mnzs_685 ... 6616_8.jpg, is from the photoseries of the 12. SS-HJ, during the fighting around Caen 1944.
All the best
Chris

Nice Pix indeed,
Hi
Nice picture indeed ,but i must say ,i doubt many of them being Wiking Div. Remember Wiking only recieved Panther A and D and was never replaced with any "G" model as shown on some pictures. One pictures shows acctually Panzer IV from I.SS.Pz.korps (LAH or HJ) in Gran brückenkopf (Hungary) in February 1945.
Otherwise nice pictures, but as a ....Wiking fan..hahaha...i doubt many of them being Wiking and some of them i am 100% sure :not Wiking.
But that does NOT do the picture less interesting - acctually they are very interesting indeed and thanks to Kocjo
regards Mirko

6th pic. - 2 Panthers (G version) with about 100 soldiers aboard - (mnzs_6853_8.jpg) I seem to remember seeing a similar one on Ebay some time ago and it was claimed to have been taken in Hungary 1944, maybe 23.Pz.Div?
11th pic. (mnzs_6822_13) - a HJ Panther, see the mark above the headlight.
13th pic. (mnzs_6003_4) - this Ostuf. really look familar, I just can't put a name to the face.
15th pic. (mnzs_6507_7) - Gille, Becker (KC w. OL holder and Kdr. of 3.SS-Pz.Div.), Swientek (KC holder and Kdr. SS-Pz.AR 3) - check out the Demjansk shield.
Cheers
Marko

HJ Panther
I have to agree with the guys above, the logo above the headlight looks more like 12.SS Pz Div:
HJ Logo:

Wiking logo:

If it is true, then its the first HJ Panther with a unit emblem many of us will have seen, so it is a remarkable photo Kocjo.
