Danish torpedo boats "leased" by the Kriegsmarine

Post by sid guttridge »

The Germans apparently brow beat the Danes into "leasing" them six torpedoboats in 1941 or 1942. They were handed over unarmed and subsequently use for training purposes.

Can anyone tell me which Kriegsmarine unit used them and where they were based in August 1943?

Thanks.

As far as I remember they were later sunk by the german to avoid capture. I think the Danes later demanded compensation from Germany for the boats. I'm not very sure of this though.
