Transibirians troops

Sepp Dietrich claimed that the transibirians troops-who were sent to Moscow and in other frontlines after Pearl HArbor- had "the same capacity as our elite troops".He flattered their discipline and their endurance. What did the other generals-esspecially thoses who took part to the Mosow battle- thought about them?Didn't he exagerate?Can you please suggest me a good book about them?

Lucas, after Pear Harbor the Soviets figured that the Japanese were no longer a threat, as they hadd to deal with the United States, and probably figured that the United States would fight Japan first and then move to Europe since the Japanese were directly threatining the United States. This is theoretical, but I do know for a fact that the Soviet troops in the Soviet Far East were battle hardened after years of skirmishing with the Japanese forces.
