Hello !
I rec'd a letter from the wife of a former panzer soldier. She told me her husband was an "Obergefreiter und Vorhandwerker".
Can anyone help clarify what this position might have been ? He served in the Stabskompanie / 505.
Thanks !
Dale

Re: Vorhandwerker ?
Vorhandwerker = Leading Craftsman = a mechanic (maybe on panzer or an other vehicle)
Here is the sleeve insignia of an "Vorhandwerker"
Kindly regards

Re: Vorhandwerker ?
Thanks to you Dale, but I have no merit. I only use an German-French an a French-English translator.
My current language is Dutch but I read and speak fluently French. I have also a little bit knowledge of English and German languages and it's always a pleasure when I can help somebody.
Kindly regards
Prosper
