Help! Heydebreck POW Camp Letter

Post by Glynnpeters »

Greetings all , I need help and would be very grateful for this.
I have this letter in my WW2 collection addressed to a Herrn Hans Viertel , Arbeitszam ??nitz , Heydebreck IV , Oberpfl???. I have googled Heydebreck and there is a Polish Camp of this name but I cannot connect Heydebreck IV to it. ANY help would be appreciated. I have added the picture of the address.
I'd like to know if Heydebreck was a Camp and if Herrn Viertel was a worker as the letter is addressed to a department?

It was written in 1943.

Thx. GP

Hi there!

Found some references through google on a "Wehrmachtsgefangenen Abt. Heydebreck 4 (Lager Hugolust): http://www.96id.de/johannfritsch/zurbew ... efront.php
Don't know if it helps but at least it seems to indicate there was a camp IV in Heydebreck.

Sorry I can't be of more help.
