PR 1 - Erfurt.

Hello to all
; here goes the beginning of a German tank regiment.....................
The PR 1 – Erfurt; early days.
The regiment was raised on October 01 of 1935 within the Wehrkreis IX. It had two detachments (abteilungen). The PR 1 was subordinated to the 1 Panzer Division, having its garrison at Erfurt.

I found the following: Maj. Schukelt (CO of I./ PR 1) leads the regimental parade on behalf of the Commander, Oberst Ritter v. Radlmaier - Creation of the regiment - Friedrich Wilhelm Platz (Domplatz). October 15, 1935.

Organized on October 01, 1935 after the redesignation of Kraftfahrlehrkommando Ohrdruf under the command of Oberst Ludwig Ritter von Radlmaier. The Regiment entered in its new barracks on October 08, 1935.
Regimental Commanders:
Oberst Ludwig Ritter von Radlmaier, organization to October 06, 1936
Oberstleutnant Kurt Schmelzer, from October 06, 1936 to November 10, 1938.
I. Abteilung:
Oberstleutnant Schuckelt, organization – November 10, 1938
II. Abteilung:
Major Gerth, organization - 1937
