Forum update
As you have likely seen we are making some changes to the forum. We are updating the forum software and backend, adding security and performance features, dealing with spam registrations issues, and refreshing/updating the look and feel. To that end please bare with us as we test out various features and sometimes stumble around a little. The look and feel you see now will not be the final look and feel you will see in a few days. The colors and images are place holders. We are working to finish these changes ASAP. Thanks for your support!

Re: Forum update
Most of the forum updates are done. Not all, but most. Still going through and cleaning up some discolored sections and tweaking the layout here and there. Please post any comments that you have regarding the changes, styles, or functionality.

Re: Forum update
Pretty much all changes have been made. Still updating a few colors here and there and a few odd features, but generally speaking the upgrades are complete and have been a great success!
Re: Forum update
I like the new look but I still seem to experience problems when accessing the KC & Officer Biographies from the title page. Even if I select officers beginning with 'N' I still get the full listing starting with 'A' and no matter who I select I only get the following message along the top of the screen..
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/feldgrau/public_html/KnightsCrossHolders2.php on line 12
Sorry, no records were found! Return to Feldgrau
...and after the title Bibliography on the unit histories I get...
Warning: include(/home/feldgrau/public_html/UnitBio.php?Unit=3.Infanterie-Division) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/feldgrau/public_html/InfDiv.php on line 168

...followed by the actual bibliography.

Re: Forum update
Yep, we are still working on those seperate issues. The database for the KC holders and officers is seperate from Feldgrau.net. I've made some progress but have not resolved the issue. I hope to have it fixed between within a reasonable amount of time. I will post updates when it's finally resolved.

Re: Forum update
hi jason
re the pictures at the top of the pages can they be made bigger i/e deeper to show more detail of the subjects in question.
just a thought if it is at all possible, i think it would look more pleasing to the eye.

Re: Forum update
The idea is to show glimpes of the photos in question, not the entire image. In this way they become evocative and representational rather than simply a photo of xyz subject. That's why they are in the header, to act has representational header images.

I like it, though I liked the small portraits too.
