The Germans in Haarlem 1940.
On Wednesday afternoon, May 15, 1940, the German army appears on the Grote Markt at around 2:00 p.m. Many people look forward to his arrival at the Grote Markt. The people of Haarlem are waiting to see what will happen. Initially, the Germans behaved correctly, according to the instructions of the new government, and most of the inhabitants of Haarlem resumed their normal lives.
