Asiatics in Berlin

I am not exactly sure if this is the place to put this. But here goes. I just heard from a friend that when the russians captured Berlin they found over a 1000 asiatics(tibetans) that had committed a ritual suicide. An I was wondering if any of you gentlemen could enlighten me?
