does anyone know what a Genesenden-Kompanie Grenadier-Ersatz-Bataillon 186 Standort: Ansbach is, and also a Landesschutzen-Bataillon 624. would like to know what kind of units these are. Thanks in advance for you help.

Is the reconvaliscent company of the Infantry Replacement Battalion 186 in Ansbach

Landesschutzen-Bataillon

Landesschützen units were units with soldier not totally fit or too old for frontline units. They did make rear area duties like guarding depots, bridges, POW camps etc...
