If an officer of the Waffen-SS had his officer tunic (The one w/ the bottle-green collar) damaged beyond repair, would he have been givin a new officer tunic or the current tunic being produced at that time?
ie: 1943 = M43 tunic
Thanks

Hello
Most officers (because they were allowed to) had their tunic from a tailor made specifically for them. Also the officer I know all had several tunics if one is damaged or at the cleaning to replace it. Also the M43 etc.. designations were for enlisted tunics which were different to officer tunics. Many officers had mixtures of various "styles". Upgraded enlisted field blouses, tailored pieces etc..etc..
