Was the Close Combat Bar an "infantry only" award?

As far as I know...
The Close Combat Bar is an award for fight in close range during 15 continuing days (bronze Clasp), 30 days (silver clasp) and 50 (gold clasp). Most of soldiers that were awarded came from the Waffen-SS and Heer, but I also did see some Fallschirmjäger that also won it.
