Gamaschen, sizes?

Were the gamaschen sized in the same way British or american gaitors were? Is this marked on them or were they one size fits all, 'cos mine dont! Fit that is.

Examples I have seen arte all same size.

I had to move the straps on mine (postwar & repro) to be able to use for reenacting.
