The Bunker/Blockhouse

You may have heard about this new film out called "The Bunker" about a group of german soldiers trapped in an underground bunker, mainly in the dark? Well, somebody told me it was based on a book called "The Blockhouse" that they read in the 60s. Does anybody know who it was by and where I can get it?
