Der Kommissar

(Check it out, Joe! - Two, three, four ...)
"Sugar Sweet, you got me rappin' to the beat!"
Ich verstehe, sie ist heiß. - Sie sagt:

"Babe, you know I miss my funky friends,"
Sie meint Jack und Joe und Jill.
Mein Funkverständnis, ja, das reicht zur Not,
Ich überreiß' was sie jetzt will.

Alles klar, Herr Kommissar?

"Hey, wanna buy some stuff, man?
Did you ever rap that thing, Jack?
So rap it to the beat!"

Kennt heute jedes Kind.
Jetzt das Kinderlied:

Dreh' dich nicht um, oh, oh, oh
Schau, schau: der Kommissar geht um! Oh oh oh
Alles klar, Herr Kommissar?

Dreh' dich nicht um, oh, oh, oh ....

The wonderful Falco!! I loved 'Rock Me Amadeus'! :D

And I laughed when MC Hammer had a massive hit by ripping off 'Der Kommissar' and calling it 'You Can't Touch This'. :( :D

All of which reminds me Guys. For quite some time I've been thinking of changing my screen nick to Lt. Cmdr. Akira Ushijima, Imperial Japanese Navy Destroyer Commander and Fighter pilot. What do you think?

 A Japanese Destoyer Commander AND a Figher Pilot !!

With your aim you're liable to drop a bomb, from that Zero of yours, right on your own ship !!

Then, as Captain of said Destroyer, you'd get stuck with prosecuting yourself for "negligent bomb dropping", while at the same time awarding yourself a medal for accuracy !! :D

At least with you in the Japanese Navy, Admiral Nimitz would be able to sleep better at nights .

By the way, you kinda hit on the reason I volunteered towards the end of the war to become a pilot. I was flying the Raiden intercepter against Yankee B-29s. The only direction you had to know was straight up!

Well Tom, we did used to worry about the "straight down" part, until we discovered that the Raiden was small enough to land on the wing of a B-29, if you had to make minor repairs. At first this caused us serious anxiety (an understatement), but later we figured out tht none of the B-29s guns were adjusted to fire at its own wings, for obvious reasons.

As the war continued, it was not an uncommon sight to see a Raiden or two perched on the wing of a B-29--it was an excellent way to conserve petrol and affect minor repairs. So we'd land on the wing, relax, have a bottle of saki and a cigarette under a beach unbrella and take off again to attack another B-29.

This practice was stopped when two of our fighters got into a duel because one pilot claimed that the other was trying to shoot down his B-29.....

Best,
Akira

Being in the Japanese Navy I don't suppose you know of such a thing as "celestial navigation" ?

Of course I'm just assuming that you're not afraid of flying in the dark?
