Hi Ramirezz,
I wasn't talking about the real engineers. Some tank crews also signed as "engineers".
I'm sure that the things you heard about Romanian soldiers were sometimes true but things were even worse in the Russian Army. I don't think you've heard that our men were barbarians or that they were unfair with the Russian civilians.
The Russian Army made the worst possible impression in every country they "liberated". You know i'm right.

Oh god..
Well, if it isn't a little Russian-bashing convention..
Dragos, don't really know what you mean about engineers.. but i'm guessing you aren't an expert on the Red Army. So the 'R' in RKKA actually means "Russian"? Perhaps if you are so smart, you would know that the USSR consisted of more than a hundred nationalities. Exactly what is your problem with Soviet soldiers? Was your grandfather shot by a Soviet sniper?
Oh yes! The horrible "Russians" who plundered half of Europe and would have plundered the rest had the heroic Anglo-American allies not intervened. Sounds like another idiotic western half-myth.
Yes, the Soviet government created satellite governments in eastern Europe.. as a buffer zone! What is all this plundering about? Another idiotic half-myth.

My grandfather wasn't shot by russians. Instead he made a whole platoon surrender without having a weapon. If you want i can tell you the whole story.Sergei wrote:Well, if it isn't a little Russian-bashing convention..

I don't have nothing personal against russians. The father of my girlfriend is russian and he has the same name as you.
I understand that you are a nationalist, but the plundering is not a myth. The Red Army left a trail of looting and rapes in every country. This is a fact and if you want i have evidence about what they did in Romania.
About the buffer zone... be serious. Half of USSR was already a buffer zone. And it was the official policy of the Soviets to conquer the whole Europe (or at least make sattelites). Millions of Romanians still suffer from a russian-backed communist regime in the so-called "Republic of Moldavia".
Maybe you should study more before you make another reply.

So is that supposed to make your argument stronger?
I understand that you are a nationalist,
Actually no.. just someone with a different point of view.

I think maybe you should read less BS of the as Beevor. Are you aware that raping and looting was punishable in the Red Army? Ever heard of a zagrad. otryad or a shtraf rota? Obviously not, because you seem to think that the Red Army was a horde of dumb, drunken, looting rapists who did whatever they wanted. You are gravely mistaken.
Ok great, you have 'proof'? If it's Beevor you can just forget about it.
How about instead I tell you about what the Germans and their allies did in Russia during the occupation? Or maybe thats a myth to you.. as you probably think they did no wrong?

Wow! You are quite an expert! "Half of the USSR" was already a buffer zone. That little statement just explained everything..
Millions of Romanians still suffer from a russian-backed communist regime in the so-called "Republic of Moldavia".
Millions of Romanians? Really? "Russian-backed communist regime"? Are you aware that the USSR fell apart almost 13 years ago? And that Moldova is not a part of Russia? What exactly is the nature of this so-called 'Suffering'? This sounds like real oppression.. do the UN and president Bush
know about this?
Maybe you should study more before you make another reply.
yeah, I need to study more..
I think maybe you should come to terms with whatever you have against Russians.

People on this forum know the truth anyway.
Of course they do! Thats why it's a Nazi forum! You'll get no complaints here if you talk about how the Russians are untermenschen..
Stalin would be proud of you and your statements.
Actually, Stalin has nothing to do with it but if you like making such obvious and childish statements - go ahead.

The Russians were an unprofessional rabble. Rapists and killers of the worst kind! Make no mistake about that!dragos03 wrote:Hi Ramirezz,

Of course all the comments about the Soviet Soliers are out of line since everyone know they were know through out Eastern Europe for their compassion and their utterly correct behavior towards the Poles, the Hungarians, the Romanians, the ethnic minorities within the Soviet Union. Also in the wake of their advance, the Soviets left only the most Democratic forms of Gorernment and only stayed in those countries until the populace was able to set up their own government
I can understand why they had it out for the Germans but all these other people who were just as opressed by the Reds as they were by the Nazis .
Give me a break.

;-)
now this is an interesting debate. in war, atrocities are committed by all sides. pointing fingers as to who is worse is pretty childish. the winners, of course, write history, so we all know that the soviets, americans, brits, etc., did no wrong.
that was sarcasm!
that was sarcasm!
First of all, they took any watch they can grab. Not only from Germans.
My Grandfather told me another funny story about Russians. When they came to village my grandpa lived, and enter to his house, it was very early, and an alarm clock just started to ring. So, a Russian soldier open fire to alarm clock. It not a joke - it really occured-lol

Watches are good loot to a soldier, second only to pistols. I was disappointed I never got one of the Soviet ones - worth 200 bucks in trade. Red stars were always popular too - one of my comrades bought some in a store and attached them to captured enemy tunics to double the price. Old Fritz claimed plunder was the natural right of the soldier.
Modern military law says something different. The better you treat prisoners the more you'll get so there are some practical reasons to do so as well.
As to the chap who said 'long live socialism,' I suggest you move to the US or UK. If you like to be ruled by inefficient govt with its nose buried deep in your business and its hand buried deep in your pocket we can deliver that in spades.

When you watch the world famous picture of the two russian soldiers that raise the flag on the Reichstag, make it a bit bigger and then you see that the Russian soldier that is standing is wearing a watch at each arm. Stolen "Urris" of course.
