about sonderführer

Post by krag »

I have two Sonderführer's Kragenspiegel.
Instead of being a grey-blue colour they are dark green.
The shoulder marks also have a dark green background. Can anyone give me some information regarding these items? can they be linked with RAD?
Thank you,
Krag

Thank you, Joe!
I knew this website but it says that Kragenspiegel were blue-grey.
And so the mistery continues. This "dark green" is very odd!

Are you indeed sure it is "sonderfuhrer that you have and if so, are you sure what you own is not "post war"?

Hi Fknorr,
I'm sure that Kragenspiegels were produced during the war.
I have never found similar Kragenspiegel in Bundeswehr or NVA.
I'll try to post a photo as soon as possible.
Thanks,

Items such as this do not have to be used in the bundeswehr to be post war. These items have become so collectible that manufacturers are churning out many fakes.

I am not saying yours is bad, only that there could be any number of explainations for the color variation...it being postwar is one, although I do not know if accurate.

If it is a subtle difference, it could be explained by a different die lot or manufacturer.
