Looking for good Battleship game

Post by Tirpitz »

Hello gamers,
I'm a real fan of Battleships and I'm looking for a good game/simulation for surface battles.
Included historic ships would be fine like the the Bismarck, Nevada,Hood or Yamato.
I played "Burning Steel" a few years ago, but it was very complicated to operate the ships manually (especiallly the carriers and their aircrafts) and too boring and stupid to let the computer do it.

If anybody knows a good game of this kind, please let me know.

thanks, MM

do you know "Fighting Steel"?
its a tactical fighting simulation for ships set in WW2, both pacific and european scenario. i think all your mentioned ships are integrated, at least most of them. its 3d grafics, but not the newest generation (its 3 or 4 years old). to me, being a Flieger, its quite slow and, well, not boring, but you can eat whilst playing, or watch a soccer game. it was made by the well know SSI team. maybe i should mention that there are no carriers, and that the official website is down.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
Sven

Check out

http://www.navalwarfare.net
It is the Naval Warfare Simulations website.
They cover naval warfare from WWI and WWII to today.

They have computer games on naval warfare from WWII
All ships and classes and scenario editors.

Good place to look.
