Waffenfarbe of Jochen Peiper?

Post by LuZifer Morningstar »

I recently bought the Dragon Action Figure portraying Jochen Peiper.
As far as my knowledge goes, he served in an Inf.Mot. Unit, so his Waffenfarbe ought to be white, right?
On the figure on the other hand the Waffenfarbe is Pink for Tank...
Now, who is right? Me or Dragon?

To be more precise, it's the group commander of the SS-Div. Leibstandarte. He was awarded the Knights Cross with oak Leaves and Swords in the Ardennes...

Dragon got this bit correct. The research that was done for the box art turned up wartime color photos of Peiper wearing his panzer uniform, complete with pink waffenfarbe. :D

Thanks alot. Hmmm, are you by chance the same R. Volstad, that does the drawings for Dragons box-covers? If so.... You're doing an awesome job!

You'd better believe it's the same Ron Volstad. And the Dragon box art is the least of his fantastic work; but I bet it pays the bills regularly.

Thanks Paul. After your hidden clue, I looked for his work on amazon. Now... There will be some books to order, I guess :D
