most common deck gun
What was the most common deck gun used on U-Boats and what caliber was it and what other size guns were used?

I´m study in profundity since 1990 or 1991 the Kriegsmarine and in especially the UbootWaffe.
88 mm deck gun (sidenote)
as a comment, the 88mm deck gun on most boats, altought of same caliber as the famous 88 flack gun, used propietary ammo, ie: not interchangeable with the land based version.
explosive was used to cut radio masts on enemy freighters and armor piercing was used to put holes on the ships when they wouldn't sink due to air trapped on bulkheads....

Hello to all ; put it in motion...................................
Deck gun on Type IX A.
The standard gunl in the U boat Type IX A was the 10.5 cm SK C/32 (SK - Schnellladekanone; fast loading cannon) while the C was (Construktionsjahr - year of construction). This weapon was mounted on the Ubts LC/32 mounting (used in Type I A and first series of Type IX) with a weight of 5 tons. He could rotate at 360 degrees and fired a 15 kilogram projectile (full round 24 kg) at 15,300 meters. At least three men were needed to operate the weapon with other members of the crew engaged as suppliers. Rate of fire 15 rounds per minute. The normal ammunition allocation for this cannon was 110 projectiles .......

Hello to all ; after a while................................
U-boat Type VII guns in World War II.
8.8cm S.K. C 30 U in Ubts.-L. C 30U
This variant of the 8.8 cm was developed in the mid-1930s for the first Type VII submarines and was mounted on a center pivot mount.
8.8cm S.K. C 35 U in Ubts.-L. C 35 U
The further development of the 8.8 cm S.K. C 30 U in Ubts.-L. C 30 U got the designation 8.8 cm S.K. C 35 in Ubts.-L. C 35. With her, however, the elevation angle was limited to 30 degrees and thus she lacked anti-aircraft capability.
This second variant was used on all Type VIIs, now some of the Type VIIAs once carried an 8.8 cm S.K. C 30 U in Ubts.-L. C30U?
