Was the 12.SS known to wear Italian Camouflage? If so, where can I find photos or documentation showing/stating it. Thanks

HJ with Italian camo
Timo, HJ was never in Italy??
The reason HJ got so much Italian camo cloth is that a lot of the cadre for forming HJ came from LAH. LAH and HJ shared many traditions, so LAH shared also their stocks of Italian camo material they appropriated in Italy.

The reason, why had 12. SS-div. Italian uniforms, is very simple. After the Italian capitulation in 1943, Germany occupated Italy. For those interested in figure modelling, Dragon do a set of 12 SS grenadiers, at leat one of which is wearing an Italian cammo overall.
A 1944 picture of HJ tankmen playing guitar and drums is interesting as they look like the prototype Hells Angels (leather outfits, deathsheads on their caps). Coincidence maybe?

Trumpeter also does one set of figures depicting the 12. SS-Panzerdivision's Boys. They have also the two guys like the DML set in the Italian camo overall and two other ones in walking position.
Here the two kit's boxarts compared.
Trumpeter's set can be found at: http://pmms.webace.com.au/newkitnews/images/tr00401.jpg
And DML's set (found at http://www.italeri.it)
