Greetings All
Just to ask...Some years ago I came across a UK newspaper article about a English woman who had learned of German female POWs, possibly nurses, held at a rural country house.
Can anyone confirm from official German sources / WAst that such prisoners existed? One assumes that they must have but the above writer was having difficulty with UK official sources.
Apparently the local people remembered these prisoners and there is anecdotal evidence that the German women were allowed to have escorted walks in the local countryside and had a somewhat relaxed internment.
I have lost assorted files, including this one, and will be revisiting the subject. All help appreciated.
