Servus,
OK, I know that VHS tapes, for all practicl purposes will not play in a US spec VCR player. My question is: will Geman DVDs play in American spec players. I have found many good movies on the German Amazon but I don't want to end up spending money and not be able to watch them.
Thanks in advance for any information/
Regards,
Helmut

Hi Helmut
In my experience there is a 'crack' for most models of players to enable them to handle multi region - usually taken care of by the store I bought it from, in my case, but try googling the model and there's usually a code you punch in that fixes it.

I'm on my second player (got about 6 years out of my first one), both of them cracked for all regions, though I think in both cases it was the nice man in the shop who take care of that with a sly wink... I think some discs are region free in any case.
