The missing part of the word I think is Haus so Hauspause

Herby: Fressen is slang, something like:guzzle. But Fresspause is a common word up to now.

Only speculation, but he could have misspelled "Fährtenpause", as to me it looks like "Ferdenpause". (The "d" is the letter which looks like the checkmark on top.)
That would translate to something like a trail-rest, which would agree with the picture of them looking at a paper.

hi, I am new here I have several letters that came with feldpost covers and I would like to get them translated. They are hand written and I can't read german. I feel that the letters might shead light on the person who wrote them. Does anyone here know how I can get several of them translated?

I am not sure if posting the letters would help, hopefully someone can help.
