Who needs capes and masks and Fortresses of Solitude to be a superhero? All you need is a pair of tan leather gloves and a Browning; there wasn't a problem in Heaven or Hell - or many, many places in between - that wouldn't respond to a stiff volley of accurate rifle fire or a well-placed bazooka round
