Hi
We all probably know that Hitler sent considerable and questionable amount of forces south to Hungary in late 1944-45, was there any other reasons he did that beside political and holding onto the so-called crucial oil fields?
I find it being quite a waste of resources, maybe should have focused holding onto the huge industrial districts in Upper Silesia, which means sending 4.SS-Panzer-Korps back north after Soviets broke through in Poland, aswell as sending 6.(SS)-Panzer-Armee to secure the industries there while Ruhr area was being bombed to pieces. What do you think?
