Europian Confederation

Post by Konigsberger »

Hello friends! I want to discuss very interesting theme- what Europe was to guidance of the Third Reich after war. In the Russian internet there is through this question the only one small article under the name «Europian Confederation and plans of SS». It retelling of book of «Europa und das 3 Reich. Einigungs bestrebungen im deutschen Machtbereich 1939-45” author Hans Werner Neulen. A book went out in 1987. In it talked about the projects of device of post-war Europe, developed in SS-Hauptamt.
The creator of project of peaceful device of Europe is consider Alexander Dolezalek- one of higher employees of SS-Hauptamt (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Dolezalek), which named future Europe “European Confederation”.
This conception arose up in 1944, when in Germany already practically there was not ideology of superiority of Germans above all other habitants of Europe, including above slavs. All were afraid of establishment of communist ideology in Europe. In the plans of Dolezalek Europe appeared as the newly independent states, incorporated a general economy, army, government. So, for example, the troops of SS, which to this time already were international organization, must were become the prototype of the European army. Gotlob Berger in this connection on specified February, 26, 1945, that a foreign contingent was not hirelings, but European volunteers, battling for the own national interests: Runes of victory (SS) can carry only people, able to serve in SS and bear in Germany or other German countries; all other separations of SS, consisting of other people, carry the national insignia on a collar. It would be ridiculous to impose the foreigners of rune of SS, because it would underline that the question is about hirelings. If they will carry a national insignia, it will underline circumstance that they battle for the personal freedom and for the country".
Basic principles on which Europe must was
- world plan for Europe;
- socialism of “volkisch” (I.e. socialism, arranged at the account of ethnic and national
specific);
-economic co-operation;
- freedom for all people
- defence of small nations;
- freedom of labour.

Dolezalek followed the ideas of Charles Haushofer, which dreamed about creation of Paneuropian block at the head with Germany. All European states on the idea of Haushofer must is in an economic and military union with Germany. In other questions Europian countrys could be kvaziautonomy from Germany. At that rate, as Haushofer talked, Germany must was become a dominant country in Europe. Europe would begin to have general currency, general economy and general army. At the very end war Leon Degrelle, developing these ideas, supposed that must assume the role of paneuropian force troops of SS, which must step back from the idea of military elite and continue forming in itself of national batalions.
I think, that modern Europe in a great deal corresponds the pictures of it Haushofer, Dolezaleka and all, who took part in development of conception of European Confederation. The question of creation of general military powers of Europe is in earnest examined on the basis of NATO, common currency (Euro) is stabilized DeutscheBank.
Likeness of ideas of Haushofer and Dolezalek is eventual with present political and economic position of Europe it is impossible to name ideally similar. For example, position of France in European Union more durable, than these people imagined, Great Britain is more closely related to continental Europe, because of loss of the colonies, but broadly speaking evidently, that modern Europe exists how it was planned in the Third Reich.

As you think, as far as rights for Neulen, in the ideas, indicated by me in this topic. There is uttery little information about it and it would be interestingly, if who that also possesses what or by knowledges through this question. Let us discuss this issue!
