Time question

Post by Fabry »

Hi from Sicily!

The question is this:
If in a 8th AF Bomb Group mission report I read that the "bombs away" on a German target was at 12:30,
what time was it for the German people on the ground?
During WWII was there a different time zone between England and Germany?
Does anyone know it?

I change my question:

does anyone know what was the war time in Germany during WWII?
For example, in England there was the British War Time, which was GMT + 2 hours.
And in Germany?

Hello Fabry:
I cannot answer your question, but I believe the question of relative time was discussed in a previous thread. It has been some time since the thread was active, but you might try our Feldgrau search function and see what you turn up. Unfortunately that is the best I can do at this time. Best wishes.
