German snipers?

Post by krichter33 »

If anyone can give me a name of a book that deals only on German snipers of WW2 (other than 'The German Sniper 1914-1918) I would be really grateful!!!

German Sniper book

Post by Wiking5th »

I have no idea if you would be interested in a fiction account. There is a book titled "Grandfather's Tale - The Tale of a German Sniper" by Timothy Erenberger. Not a Harold Coyle style of fiction writing by any strech, but thought I would throw it out.

Oh, I didn't realize that your name seems to be "Klaus Richter". So perhaps you actually read German, in which case the book by Brookesmith is available as:
Scharfschützen. Geschichte - Taktik - Waffen

There are two more books by Motorbuch-Verlag, but they are out or print (or at least so says amazon.de):
Deutsche Scharfschützen- Waffen 1914 - 1945. von Peter Senich
Jäger und Gejagte. Die Geschichte der Scharfschützen. von Jan Boger
