The Kammhuber Line

Post by Imad »

Hello
I need some information about the Kammhuber Line, specifically, who were the senior German air commanders responsible for building it up and controlling it - besides Fat Hermann of course.
I am really surprised that Hitler actually did not even object to its being built considering how opposed he was to the idea of large scale air defence.
Thanks in advance.

The best NJG Material i have read recently has been the Peter Hinchcliife Material.
All are available from amazon but warning not cheap last time i looked.
However they are worth every penny! Fully illustrated and over 250 pages on average.

1) The Lent Papers - Helmut Lent Bio

2) Ace of Diamonds - Heinz Schnaufer Bio

3) The Other Battle - Luftwaffe Night Aces V RAF Bomber Command (Kamhuber Wild Sau and Zahame Sau etc in GREAT detail)

Also would sugest you read the Bio on Prinze Zu Sayn Wittgenstein.
His attiude to the SS etc is indeed refreshing!!
