Post-War Photos of Wartime Personalities

Post by Driggs »

I'm very interested in images of 'famous' war personalities taken after the war. I've collected a good many over the years and will share them in this thread as I find them on my old hard drives.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Post war careers
- Unit Gatherings
- Official Meetings
- POW camps
- War Trials
- Reunions
- Family photos
- Personal Collections
- Continued Military Service
- Book Signings ...etc

Note: I am not interested in photos that infringe on anyone's private affairs or are in any way disrespectful to any veterans.

I hope that anyone who has any such photos will share them here.

What marvelous pictures that you posted. A very quick question, since you have the photo. Would you know what ever became of Hartmann's daughter? I assume she's living in Germany, and would be in her early 50s. His wife died not long after he did in the early 90s, so I was curious about their daughter. Quite understandably many children of these historical individuals maintain a low profile.
Thanks in advance!
