WW2 movie - Joy Division

Post by panzermahn »

Hi Feldgrauans,

I just got myself a WW2 DVD entitled Joy Division. It's a German-Hungarian collaboration. It's about the story of a young man who survives WW2 and escaped from Silesian only to be inducted into KGB training school and sent to London to spy.

What really makes this interesting is that during a couple of minutes military action, the BFC was potrayed fighting against the Bolsheviks. There a single BFC soldier with the correct cuff title and the 3 lions kragenspiegln but the thing is that the Union Jack shield is located at the right side of the sleeve.

Another thing is that there is a portrayal of a Waffen SS soldier from the Viking Division with the Viking longship collar patch. (I believed the collar patch was designed but not manufactured)

One of the most realistic scenes was the Bolshevik gang rape of the German girl, Melanie who is the girlfriend of the lead actor, Thomas

Has anyone watched this movie yet?
