Hmm...?

It is the Griechenland (Greece) banner, but this is not the Fallschirmjaeger memorial at Kreta (Crete).

Another small hint would be very helpful, Herr Roadking...?

I think, it is memorial for german war crimes, somewhere in Greece, am I totally wrong...?

Another clue? Less memorial....more commemorative

And as "negative" clues...No, its not the FALLSCHIRMJAGER memorial on Crete....

The barbed wire around the concrete pole, it reminds me about concentration camps, but I am not very firm, about such camps in Greece...?

BTW, I do not like the dressing style, the visitors wear, such a place needs a more decent dress, to show a little respect, at least to the victims.

There's only ONE "victim" remembered at this monument...

Correct, Waleed.

The memorial from another direction, overlooking the junction itself...

:D Thanks Philo.
After going for Crete as a clue guide I found the site
only to discover you had also posted the Kreipe image,
which was of no use by then... :?

Next riddle then. Yes as a result of the previous monument
this one will start with a building.

Clue:
A young man would become famous and for some infamous.
Too young for WWI he grew up, fought and worked in WWII,
although better known for something which could
(... and undoubtedly would) have been used in WWIII.

A simple sculptur...? Nah, nothing less than THIS:

A museum in his honor, who is he?

Fancy having a museum to someone who designed a rifle; world's going mad.

Mikhail Kalashnikov, perchance?

5RANGLIAN, You know you've become kind of a nuance to me...

YES Micha is correct!
Be it Red or White the Russians sure know how to honor their heroes :D
Nothing less than a museum would be enough for that young WW2 tank commander
who would first develop various "gadgets" for tanks and later the ever present,
and involved in almost every war/conflict since 194...7 THE AK-47.

I think its "God knows which time" you've answered one of my riddles short,
precise and quick, be it "perchance" or not! To add to this, you unfortunately
never post a new riddle although I'm certain you're capable of posting
something brilliant and brain wrecking if you had the time and energy to do so.

If you need help in anyway in doing so please feel free to contact me through PM
and I'll help post... and ofcourse stay off the riddling until yours
has been solved and passed on to a fellow riddler.

So again form me it's over to you (AGAIN!) my fellow riddler.

ps. Read all about it/him here: http://kalashnikov-weapons-museum.ak47-guide.com./

Here you go Waleed, try this one.

Some friends of my grandfather on a boat trip. From where, to where, and when?

Phylo, one and a half out of three, pretty good (and I'm guessing about one of them).

Great 5Ranglian!

You got the cap insignia right on 3 of the guys, Philo.
Let's wait and see if the destination is correct too...
