Adolf Galland's son is selling out...

Post by Alex Dekker »

Some of you may have seen it, for those who haven't, look at ebay. generalgalland is his nickname, he sells a lot of books of the Ace, among some other stuff. All with a certificate of Galland's son.

100% sure. It's on ebay.de, I was cruising around and ran into it. A lot of books about aviation, but also a model of Galland's ME.

I got two minor trophies: A book signed by Dolfo and another one with his ex-libris! :D
I'd liked to have the framed painting of his avatar but I am not in funds for that... :(

I cannot understand why his son is auctioning those things. :? I've asked the seller. If he gives me more information than 'none of your business', I'll tell you!
Many thanks for the tip, Alex :D

I wondered if I would do the same, selling stuff of my (never ever famous) father or grandfather. Guess not. Heck, even a signed pic of Galland ends up sky high :( .

Congratilations on your two books ballistarius! Great! :D

Thanks, Alex!
I'd have liked to get something with a more 'personal' mark, but there were few such items and all of them have gone higher than what I can afford.
Probably they've got less than they expected? Who knows...
In the end, you get something pretty anonymous with only a paper signed by Galland's son certifying that it belonged to his late father...

Hello again!
I got a short but convincent answer from the seller:
'Galland's family do this, because they have too many items from the estate'
Regards,
