US Army Center for Military History
Can anyone who's ordered from the Army Center for Military History in Carisle, PA tel me the procedure? I found the online order form and schedule of fees but I can't find an address or method of payment info. I'm interested in getting some of the Foreign Military Studies reports written by German officer. Thanks for any info you can give me.
Best regards,

I'm sorry- I mistakenly called it the Army Center for Military History.
you know, I'm damned if I can figure out how I found it now- it's the hardest website to find this info on. I just tried to find it again for five minutes before giving up. But use this link to bring up the information sheet, which I fortunately already printed out and so had it at the bottom:
http://www.carlisle.army.mil/usamhi/ordering_info.htm
This is the Fee for Service Schedule anyway, and gives their address, method of payment and fees. Then on the webpage
http://www.carlisle.army.mil/usamhi/research.cfm
is their e-mail request for assistance which you can use as an order form.
It shouldn't be this hard, but if you've ever worked for the great US Government (not an experience you want, Shadow!) you understand. Their brains work differently than ours. I couldn't handle it for a career.
But don't expect fast service- the info says they're not staffed for customer inquiries- could take six months. So get some books and read them while you're waiting, or build a life size working replica of a Tiger tank or something. THAT'LL get you US Government attention fast!

don't know- depends on when the wife's mother gets back from Calif to open the house- she's been heard to say she might go back in March now-probably the end of the month to miss the last snow. I'll just have to wait and see- probably won't know for a month or six weeks.
