Lorenz, your info is probably a hundred times more accurate than mine, but wasn't 102. Inf.Div. placed under XXIII Korps in September 1941?

If you have more accurate dates for the subordination of the 102. Inf.Div., could you please share them?

best regards,

For the month of September 1941, the first mention of 102. Inf.Div. in the daily report of Heeresgruppe Mitte is on 17 September:
"9. Armee: [Situation] in general unchanged. XXIII. AK: its bridgehead over the Düna in the 102. I.D. [sector] has been reduced due to overwhelming enemy pressure."

18.09.41: 102. I.D. was forced to withdraw completely from the bridgehead and reestablish the HKL on the west bank of the river.
22.09.41: 102. I.D. beat back enemy attacks that were in battalion-strength.

These are the only entries for the Division during September. There is no mention of XXXX. AK (mot.) after the first few days of September.

So, is it possible that 102. I.D. was under XXXX. A.K. (mot.) at the beginning of the month and then perhaps around 6 or 7 September was reassigned to XXIII. A.K.?

A bit more info for you- 102. ID appears in the 12.9.41 OKH Kgl. under XXIII. AK for the first time- in the 3.9 Kgl. it was in XXXX. AK mot.
