yes it is very sad all the people who did not return to their loved ones
they must always be remembered and never be forgotton
i was walking the dog in the fields near me yesterday morning just before 11am and heard this engine noise,
looked up it was spitfire flying right overhead waggling his wings just as the church clock chimed 11 o clock
brought a lump to my throat, nice gesture though

Gentlemen,

If you'll get the opportunity to watch BBC Timewatch' "The Last Day of World War One", then you must do it. Narrated by Michael Palin, it's a very gripping angle of that war that is presented with some very interesting facts and perspectives that are quite unusual, at least compared to the many more orthodox and standard WWI documentaries that are around...
