Update on technical issues with Feldgrau.com

Post by Jason Pipes »

I'm curious to here from others as to how the site has been running as of late. There was a time when users were getting time out errors and session not found errors rather frequently. I made some changes awhile ago to address that issue and I haven't heard anything about it since. Have people been seeing those old errors or new ones in the past few weeks/months? Other than the ongoing spam issue are there any other technical issues users have been seeing?

Thanks for your feedback!

Jason.

All seems OK for me of late. None of the previous problems that you quoted.

David.
Thanks. Dave.

Jason

The only glitch I've seen is an occassional message after posting a reply, "to soon after a submittal to submit again" (roughly) which sounds like a caching error perhaps?

other wise running fine.

thanks for keeping it sorted out

After I read that last night, I stopped to think when the last time was I saw that "unable to log in" error screen. It's been quite a while! But damned if I didn't get it about an hour later?! :D Still, that's the first time in months, so I can't complain.

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday. Otherwise things are looking good!

I've just had a "cannot connect to server" message, but my post appeared anyway, so evidently a minor glitch.

I have to say the spam thing is particularly annoying. Not content with filling up my e-mail account, these to**ers now try to ruin my favourite forum. If I wanted horny Asian sex chicks or bigjuggs.com I'd go straight there, not log on to a military/history in the hope there might be some porn.
