Hello to all ; a little story............................
Mateur 1943.
Early next day, on May 03, the 1st Armored Division ran the thirty miles to take Mateur, there was further evidence that elements of the Barenthin Regiment were pulling back generally south and east of Mateur.
On May 03, 1943 the II Corps moved its Command Post eastward, as the 1st Armored Division attacked out of the narrow valleys onto the plain, and pressed northeastward into Mateur.
