Schulfahrzeug in the German armored force.

Krupp-Grusonwerk was to deliver chassis for schulfahrzeug (driving school vehicles) with rear decks, rails, tool boxes, equipment and tools. Those chassis were the normal Pz Kw I Ausf. B without superstructure. In total 295 schulfahrpanzer were built by Krupp-Grusonwerk (180); Henschel (77); Daimler-Benz (21) and Miag (possibly 17).

Panzerkampfwagen (MG) I in action 1939. A constant in Poland 1939, the combination of light tanks.

Well, I have put in the thread dealing with command tanks a photo of this scene from another angle, but looking better in these pictures it seems to me that the Pz Kw I have a normal turret (although the Code I09 confused me a bit). What strikes me is that "cage" onto the superstructure and would appear as a reinforcement for combat into the towns (especially for getting across porches and walls ??). Well my query....................
