Quick question, on one of the headings used in these lists.

How important in the LND-Buchstabe? I know it's a reference, but it just refers to the Land the men came from, right?

No help there from me, Tom, sorry! :(

Last friday I did some research at the Red Cross. I checked the files of the missing Dutch NSKK-men. I ran into small tragedies: a woman looking for her husband, a dad looking for his son, a nephew looking for an uncle, etc. All of these men were gone: 'maybe in the Russian zone', 'has probaly died near Sarajevo', 'was last seen in a Russian camp and died there'. SOme of the letters were written as early as 1945, others as late as 1987. Not a great read after all. I can use a lot of the information in the end, still it's a tragedy to read these letters of familymembers and the Red Cross.
Always in need for info about: Dutchmen in the NSKK, HJ and TeNo.

Sometimes the LND Buchstabe is not right some of the Belgians have not Buchstabe Z but another.

So with the info in these books you should take caution.
