Oberstleutnant (LW) Werner Baumbach

Post by Douglas Aguiar »

Hi everybody,

I´m looking for biographical information about the bomber ace and Swords holder Werner Baumbach. I only know the basic things (born and death´s dates, some medals). However I´d like to know a little bit more about his career (mains missions, assignments, or any further stories about him.

Many thanks in advance,

Douglas.

Try his book: Life and Death of the Luftwaffe
I don't know if it's still in print, I recently picked up a paperback copy used from our college library. I've only read bits and pieces so far, but it's looking good.

Gilbert,

Thanks for the tip about Baumbach´s book. However I only need some basic stuff to finish a short bio about him. Buy a book only to write down a couple of pages it isn´t for me.

But, again, thanks for your kind reply, amigo.

Regards,

Douglas
